Back on Sunday, Jodie attended the Virgin TV BAFTA Television Awards in London. Our girl looked beautiful in a breathtaking Alberta Ferretti gown as she walked the carpet as a first-time nominee. Jodie was indeed nominated in the Leading Actress category for her work in ‘Thirteen’ but sadly did not win. High-quality images of the event are now in our gallery:

The Guardian – Jodie Comer admits her reaction to her Bafta nomination probably wasn’t like anyone else’s. “This is so uncool, but I wear a brace in bed and when I heard the news I basically threw my brace out and started shouting, ‘Mum, Mum’ and she came rushing up the stairs panicking. When I told her she just said: ‘Oh. My. God.’. It’s funny because you think you’re going to act in a certain way, like tears streaming down your face, but I was more stunned.”
The 24-year-old Liverpudlian has had quite a year with eye-catching parts in Rillington Place and Doctor Foster, but it’s her performance as Ivy, the secretive heroine of Thirteen, BBC3’s unsettling story of abduction, that drew the big plaudits. She found out she’d got the part just before going to Glastonbury “which gave me even more reason to celebrate”.

Next up is the lead in Philippa Gregory’s The White Princess and the second series of Doctor Foster plus England is Mine, a film about Morrissey’s early life. “I love films where one minute you’re crying and the next laughing. They’re the best.”

Favourite current TV show: I loved Last Man on Earth, it’s so bizarre.
TV idol: I always say Julie Walters but I feel I should give her a day off so Siobhan Finneran because I worked with her and she was wonderful.
Guilty pleasure: I’m really awful about Real Housewives – I was in LA last year and actually took a picture of Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant.
